Letter to NEST+m Students and Families from Mark Berkowitz, Week of January 30th, 2017

Dear NEST+m Students & Families,
The NEST+m Community Stands with Every NEST+m Student and Family.
February is Respect for All Month within the NYC Department of Education. Next week, on February 6th and 7th, Grades 6-12 students will have Respect For All-themed, grade specific, Town Hall Meetings. In the coming weeks Respect For All Themed activities will also be featured within our K-5 classrooms.
We will use these moments to celebrate the ways in which NEST+m students & the NEST+m Community Stand Up for Kindness and Lead with Love. We will use these reflective, mid-year moments, to look inward toward the ways in which we can individually and collectively improve our practices.
Each of us is responsible for creating the culture of kindness and care that support students’ academic and social-emotional well being.
Thank you for your ongoing support and communication.
Mark Berkowitz
