community service

At NEST+m, we believe that giving back to the community—our school, our neighborhood, and our city—is an important part of every student’s education. Therefore, all Upper School students must complete a minimum of sixty hours of community service over four years as part of their NEST+m graduation requirement. All sixty hours can be completed outside of school; a maximum of thirty hours of in-school service can be counted toward the student’s hours. However, students who exceed thirty hours of in-house credit will be recognized. NEST+m students have assisted at Lower School events, greeted prospective students at Open Houses, volunteered in hospitals, soup kitchens and senior centers, and tutored neighborhood children to fulfill their community service requirement.
