Upper Grades Club Application 2019-2020: https://bit.ly/2MazLrY

Here are some FAQs about the process:

How do I apply to lead a club next year?

Student representative(s) and faculty advisor should work together to complete the application linked above. One person (student rep or faculty advisor) should submit the application by sharing the doc with katesearcy@nestmk12.net by the last day of school. The last page of the application is a signature page to be printed. This can be given to me in Room 329 or placed in my mailbox in the main office.

I led a club this year. Do I need to apply again?

Yes please! ALL clubs, whether new or existing, are asked to submit the application as it will help me gather information to better support and promote your club. If you advised a club this year and plan to do so again, please be in touch with your student representatives to assist them with the application process as needed.

I’ve never led a club before, but am interested in doing so. What do I need to know?

Advising a club is a great way to connect with students outside the classroom and help enrich student life at NEST! Your primary responsibilities are supervising club meetings, keeping accurate attendance records, and supporting club members in their goals for the year.

Club advisors are eligible to receive per session for meetings held before or after school. Meetings need at least 10 members in attendance in order for advisors to submit per session.
In early September we will hold a Club Fair for clubs to advertise and gain new members. Stay tuned for more info.

My student representatives aren’t sure how to answer everything on the application at this point. What should they do?

The application is a working document and you can continue to make changes through the fall to fit the needs of your club and its members. Please have your student reps submit the application before the last day of school, even if you know you will need to update it later.

You can also direct students to me in Room 329 during 3rd or 7th period lunch, and I can help them with completing the application.

I still have questions about the club process for next year. Who can I ask?

As COSA I’m here to support all our clubs as an integral part of student life. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions!
